Artist Jac Ouellette earned her BFA from Maine College of Art in 2002. She did a self-designed major in Sculptural Metal Furniture. She completed a residency in blacksmithing at Haystack and is a member of ABANA (The Artist-Blacksmiths' Association of North America). She is also an active member of NOMMA (National Ornamental & Miscellaneous Metals Association). In her studio in Portland, Maine, she creates metal sculpture for private homes, businesses, schools and colleges throughout New England and as a balance to her metalwork she also enjoys painting. Her very colorful stylized landscapes evoke a feeling of the joy and happiness that she sees in her native Maine.
